Statement of Faith
1. 本堂全体會眾堅守正統基督教之信仰, 就是啟示与記載於新舊約聖經之中, 並認信於歷代基督教大公信經(Creeds),
及更正教(Protestant)改革宗(Reformed)之信條內。
2.我們相信三位一体的上帝, 聖父, 聖子, 聖靈。(太28:19,
林後13:14)
3.我們相信上帝, 三位一体之聖父, 全能的父, 創造天地的主。(創1:1-5,
約1:1-3)
4.我們相信耶穌基督, 三位一体之聖子, 我們的主, 上帝的獨生子(羅1:3-4),
因聖靈感孕, 由童貞女馬利亞所生(太1:21-23),
在本丟彼拉多手下受難, 被釘於十字架上, 受死, 埋葬(林前 15:3-4), 降在陰間 (彼前3:18),
第三天從死裡復活, 後升天, 坐在無所不能的父的右邊, 將來必從那裡降臨, 審判活人死人(約5:22)。
5.我們相信聖靈, 三位一体之第三位, 為聖經之啟示者 (提後3:16-17),
及救恩之施行者(羅馬書 8:14-15,
多3:6 )。
6.我們相信一, 聖, 大公, 本於使徒教訓而建立純正信仰之教會, 就是古往今來聖徒相通之團体, 基督之身体。 (弗2:19-22,
提前 3:15)
7.我們相信耶穌基督之福音, 使人罪得赦免(約3:16),
並且在末後身體復活(約11:25),
得著永生(林前 15:20)。阿們。
8.我們相信和接受新舊約聖經是上帝啟示之真理, 由聖靈默示, 藉先知与使徒而寫成。聖經主要教導的就是人對于上帝所當信的真理, 和上帝所要人當盡的本份。
9.我們本於「和眾聖徒一同明白基督的愛」(弗 3:18),
由此按照及接受歷代正統教會之信經与信條: 使徒信經, 尼西亞信經 (Nicene Creed, 325A.D.),
亞他那修信經 (Athanasian Creed), 迦克頓信經 (Chalcedonian Creed, 451A.D.),
及威斯敏特信條 (Westminster Confession, 1647)。
Statement
of Faith
1.This congregation confesses the Christian
faith, recorded in the Holy Scriptures and confessed in the classical Christian
creeds and Reformed confessional writings.
2.We believe in the Triune God, Father, Son,
and Holy Spirit.
3.We believe in God the Father, creator of
heaven and earth.
4.I believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our
Lord. He was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was
crucified, died, and was buried. He descended into hell. On the third day he
rose again. He ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of the
Father. He will come again to judge the living and the dead.
5.We believe in the Holy Spirit, the third
Person of God, who revealed the Bible to us and bestows upon us the grace of
salvation.
6.We believe the one, holy, universal, and
apostolic church, which is the body of Christ, the communion of all saints, and
witness for the Gospel.
7.We believe in the forgiveness of sins, the
resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
8.We believe and accept the canonical
Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments as the inspired Word of God and the
authoritative source and norm of its proclamation, faith, and life. Through the
Bible, the Holy Spirit speaks to us to create and sustain Christian faith and
fellowship for service in the world.
9.We accept the Apostles’, Nicene, Athanasian
Creeds and the Westminster Confession as true declarations of the faith of this
congregation.
